REDI TLHABI TO HOST NEW CURRENT AFFAIRS SHOW

Mzansi journalist, producer, author and radio presenter Redi Tlhabi is set to make her return to Television as host of a new current affairs show on SABC 1.

The seasoned broadcaster will anchor a brand new show called Unfiltered which is set to air on Sunday 07 October on SABC News Channel and SABC 3.

The public broadcaster confirmed the news in a statement released on Wednesday.

The show will tackle a number of issues that are a mojor concern to the people of Mzansi such as crime, corruption, education, politics as well as community and social issues.

Tlhabi, who holds an Honours degree in Political Economy and English Literature said: “I have always responded positively to conversations that help us confront the ills of our society and affirm our quest for justice, democracy and accountability.

“It is with that vision that I begin this new chapter with the SABC."

Phathiswa Magopeni, Group Executive for News and Current Affairs division said the SABC was taking a bold approach to discuss tough issues.

Said Magopeni: “Redi is a dynamic and versatile journalist who fits the profile of the show and our editorial character very well. We are happy to welcome her back as part of the SABC News team.”
