American jazz and R&B singer Randy Crawford (66) will bid her Mzansi fans goodbye at a two-city concert.

Events company Big Concerts made the announcement yesterday.

Randy has performed in Mzansi before and this will be her last event in the country before she retires.

Big Concerts chairman Attie van Wyk said Randy still has one of the greatest voices in the music industry.

He said his company is proud to host Randy before she retires.

Randy has had a long and fulfilling career.

She has worked with legends such as Bootsy Collins, Johnny Bristol, Quincy Jones, Al Jarreau, Rick Springfield and the late Joe Sample.

Randy is known for hit singles such as Streetlife, One Day I’ll Fly Away, Rainy Night in Georgia and Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.

Last month, the legendary singer toured the UK, a country that has shown her a lot of support.

She won the Best British Female Solo Artist trophy at the Brit Awards in 1982.

Randy will kick off her Mzansi tour at Grand Arena in Cape Town on 23 October. Entry costs between R320 and R660. On 26 October she will perform at the Sun Arena in Tshwane. Tickets cost between R320 and R860.
