Rami Chuene has won the Twitter battle between her and Refilwe Modiselle to be cast in the role of Brutus’ wife on the Queen Mzansi.

At first, Rami was challenged by the production team to accumulate over 10K retweets (RTs) in order to be offered the role.

But things took an interesting turn when Refilwe entered the contest and said that she also wants to play Brutus’ wife.

“This is the ONE to RT for me to play Brutus' wife on #TheQueenMzansi 10k RT's and above! Challenge accepted! Guys let's!!!” Rami said on Twitter.

Soon after that the RTs began to roll in and it was clear from the start that Rami was going to take it.

On Monday, Shona Fergurson acknowledged that Rami had won the challenge and publicly offered her a contract as Brutus’ wife on the show.

“OK. Over 10K RTs. Rami let's sign cc @Connie_Ferguson @FERGUSON_FILMS,” Shona tweeted.

And just like that, the contract was signed and Shona made the official announcement last night.

“It's for real. @ramichuene has signed. Thanks tweeps. Details of the character to be revealed later. Welcome to THE QUEEN. #TheQueenMzansi,” he said.
