Rapper, television personality and father of two, Tebogo 'Proverb' Thekisho is one of our favourite celebrity dads.

Not only has he made sure that his kids didn’t feel his absence after the divorce with his now ex-wife, but he always goes the extra mile for them.

From being there to tuck them in at night, to taking them on luxury vacations and working extra hard to make sure that they’re provided for, Proverb really is a model dad.

And this morning, as he sent his son and daughter off to school, Pro let us in on a little secret.

He revealed one of the promises that he made to his children, a rare insight into the life of the normally private star.

The Idols SA presenter posted a picture of himself with his arms around his kids as they stand by his side.

He captioned the picture: “As they head out to school and I to work, I remind them of our deal - Do your best & I’ll do the rest”.

This left fans reeling with adoration for the great job that Pro is doing as a dad.

“You are a great father Verb. An example of hands on parenting,” one fan said, while another wished that others could learn from him: “I wish your male fans can learn that from you. Such a great role model. God bless you more,” she said.

Tebogo and the mother of his two kids, Onalerona split and later divorced in 2015.
