Wedding plans are well and truly up and running after Somizi “SomG” Mhlongo finally got to meet his soon to be in-laws.

The Idols judge has been engaged to his bae Mohlae Motaung for a few months now and all that was left was for him to meet the in-laws before proceeding with wedding plans.

While Mohale had already met most of Somizi’s family, including his daughter and baby mamma Palesa Madisakwane, Somizi had not met any of Mohale’s family, until recently.

The couple’s relationship has been a subject of some negativity, mostly because of the age gap between the two and the fact that Mohale was relatively unknown.

However, Somizi finally meeting Mohale’s parents means the couple have gotten the only stamp of approval that matters to them, from their loved ones.

The pair took to their respective social media accounts to share pictures of their day at the Motaung household.

“My in laws,” Somizi captioned the pictures on Instagram, “It was worth it to get here.

“Thanks to the Motaung family for such a warm welcome and love.

“Now let the wedding planning begin. I’m so happy, this is priceless.”

Mohale also shared his excitement.

“This has got to be the happiest day of my life,” he wrote, “Bae finally got to meet the folks and the fam.

“I’m beyond happy!”
