DALOM Kids are still going strong after many years and 15 albums.
The group has vowed to continue giving their fans the best music.
Jabulile Sambane (41), who is the lead vocalist and leader, said they have overcome many challenges over the years.
Dalom Kids sings disco music with a mixture of mbaqanga.
Jabulile told SunBuzz: “Our success is largely due to our producer Dan Tshanda.
“As long as he is alive, the group will continue going strong and making people happy.”
They are in the studio currently to record an album that will be released later this year.
Jabulile said they are busy working on their voices.
“We want to make this album very special for our fans who have supported us over the years.
“It’s a blessing to be part of this group,” she said.
The new album will have 10 songs.
Ntombizodwa Tshabalala (31) and Busisiwe Manku (24) are the other members.
“The three of us are as close as sisters. The good part is that working as a team gives us respect for each other,” Jabulile said.
She joined the group in 2001 after the leader, Jacqueline Rotwane, had left.
“It was difficult to step into the boots of someone who had done a lot for the group, but other members supported me and believed in me,” she said.
Under her leadership they released the albums Nomalizo (2001), Awulaleli (2004), Hamba (2007) and Revenge (2011).
The albums have reached gold and platinum status.
