Gospel singer Onesimus is geared up for an Evening of Love.
The event will be held at Sun Arena Time Square in Menlyn, Tshwane tonight.
Joining him on stage will be singer Kelly Khumalo, Ntando, Vusi Nova and Samthing Soweto. The event will be hosted by Somizi.
Onesimus said he will be spreading messages of love and hope to the lovers attending the show.
Speaking to SunBuzz, Onesimus, whose real name is Armstrong Kalua, said it is a great platform for him to perform on alongside the big stars.
“Evening of Love is all about celebrating love. God is love and we all celebrate love. My music is not only about gospel but about the love that God has shown us so far,” he said.
“I want to connect with people who will be attending and speak to them about the healing power of God.”
The artist born and bred in Malawi said he is preparing a classical performance.
“On this night lovers remind each other why they love each other and they should have a good time, celebrate love and forget about the hard days they once faced in the relationship.
“Valentine’s Day means a day that lovers share special moments and I dedicate my music to them.”
Onesimus will be performing songs from his latest album, Epikaizo. And one of the songs that he thinks people will enjoy is Tchuku Tchuku.
“The song is about the sweet feeling that one feels with the love of God.
“That is the same feeling you feel when you are with your partner. It was number one on iTunes.”
Tickets are available at Computicket from R200 for early bird, R250-R650 for general access and for VIP tickets, from R1 000. The show starts at 7pm.
