TDK Macassette raised eyebrows when she said DJ Maphorisa sucks at making gqom beats and that he stole her song Iwalk Yephara.
And now NUZ Queen has come forward to take aim at him.
But the DJ said both his accusers are jealous.
The argument exploded on to social media on Sunday.
The trouble started when NUZ Queen posted on Facebook, in Zulu: “Can I please ask if Maphorisa knows how to make a beat? If yes, which beat has he made? Ayy, it’s tough.”
Maphorisa was quick to respond, writing: “You’ll never make it in this industry if you open your legs more than your talentless mouth.”
Speaking to Daily Sun, Maphorisa said NUZ Queen was bitter because she had been taken on for stealing his song Laze Lavuka Idimoni Lami.
“I produced that song and it belongs to Ed Harris, but NUZ Queen stole it.
“Now that she’s being taken to court, she tells me I know nothing about making a beat.
“She’s a hater. Clearly she doesn’t know me. I’ve worked with Busiswa, Mafikizolo, DJ Zinhle and many more. I’ve produced hits. She’s new to the industry and now she thinks she knows people’s skills.”
NUZ Queen didn’t answer the phone when the SunTeam called her.
But her manager Sbankwa Nyubuse said she was angry with Maphorisa for talking about her.
“As far as she knows, Maphorisa knows nothing about gqom music,” said Sbankwa.
“He can make beats for other genres but not Gqom.”
Responding to Sbankwa’s comments, Maphorisa said he didn’t care as the industry was full of haters and jealous people.
Ed Harris said he and his legal team were still preparing to take NUZ Queen to court.
