She is able to bring any character to life – the more challenging, the better for her.
So far viewers of The Kingdom: uKhakhayi could see her in action as the proud Nomapasika.
Just like her husband Jezembovu in the story, status and position are important to her.
She looks down on anyone she thinks is below her.
Noxolo told SunBuzz what she loves about Nomapasika’s character is that she is honest and straightforward.
The actress, who has also had a hand in producing other shows, said: “Nomapasika does not hide who she is or what she’s about.
“You never wonder where you stand with her.
“She is aware that her husband sometimes uses dishonest methods to achieve his aims.
“She supports all his decisions and the things he does to get to the top.”
She said the character is different to any role she’s played before.
“I wanted to challenge myself as an actress and to do something new,” she said.
Talking about the response of the viewers of The Kingdom: uKhakhayi, she said: “There is a lot of curiosity regarding the Bhaca kingdom – who they are and where they come from. People are keen on the storyline.
“It’s good to know that viewers can like or dislike a character based on how devious she can be.”
The passionate Noxolo said she still wants to get a role in an action movie.
“It’s something I have not done and I would love my career to venture into that.
“I just like how busy action movies are and I would love to be part of such a production,” she said.
