Nina Hastie is a comedian, writer, actor and voice artist but most importantly, she is a survivor whose story will serve as inspiration for many women going through similarly difficult situations.
Many people’s hearts were left broken on Wednesday when Nina shared her sad but powerful story with Pearl Modiadie on Zaziwa.
"I speak to women, and I want them to know that they are allowed to live. No matter what happened in their past. Look how making one decision changed my whole life," she said.
The ever smiling TV personality has gone through some of the most horrible experiences from being an alcoholic to being a victim of physical rape not once or twice, but three times.
The 34 year old managed to turn her life around and many people on social media were left inspired by her resilience.
Her powers of recovery are all thanks to her positive mentality “They raped my body, but they won't rape my spirit or my mind.I have a life to live”, she once tweeted.
