A musical spectacle set to honour South African women in all their glory through song and dance will take place next month in Tshwane.
August is national women’s month in Mzansi, with Women’s Day being on Thursday, 09 August this year.
The day has been set aside in our nation’s calendar as a tribute to the more than 20 000 women who marched to the Union Buildings on 09 August 1956 in protest against the extension of Pass Laws to women.
In commemoration of that day, the Women Shout Out concert plans to give Mzansi women the applause they deserve.
The concert will take place at the Sun Arena, Time Square in Tshwane on 10 August 2018 under the theme, Wear a Doek.
The event promises to be loaded with a string of award-winning acts including musicians, DJs and a very famous host.
On the stage will be Mafikizolo, Shekhinah, Lady Zamar, Amanda Black, Sjava, Encore, Sun-El Musician and Mlindo.
Plus, on the ones and twos will be DJs NasteeNev, Amon Mokoena, Sumbody, Dhino Café, Ismael Abrahams, The Josh and Banques.
Talented radio and television host and reality show star, Dineo Ranaka will host the concert.
“We aim to shout out and big up all women from all walks of life and tell them that they are enough and no one should tell them otherwise. The show is created to be enjoyed by everyone but we should always remember the reason why we are together in the first place. We would like to invite everyone to come and get down with us and our country’s talented stars,” said Euphodia Tau, the managing director of NMS Events and Productions who put the event together.
Tickets to the show are already available from Computicket with general access ranging from R150 to R250.
VIP tickets cost R500 and VVIP tickets are R1200.
The show will kick off at 5pm on 10 August at Sun Arena Time Square in Menlyn, Tshwane.
