ROBBIE Malinga may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
Although the late Afro pop legend’s funeral service at Rhema Bible Church in Joburg yesterday was emotional, mourners were determined to celebrate his life.
SPEAKER AFTER SPEAKER DESCRIBED ROBBIE AS A MUSICAL GENIUS, LOVING DAD, MENTOR AND A FUNNY GUY!
Speaking about Robbie, programme director Sbusiso Leope, also known as DJ Sbu, said: “Robbie was my mentor and my brother.
“I was one of the many he helped and I will always be grateful for that.”
Matwetwe Ntombini of the Universal music group said they would do everything to help Robbie’s family and make sure his dreams were realised.
SABC spokesman Kaizer Kganyago said Robbie was a jolly person and he would forever be grateful that he crossed paths with him.
Robbie’s friends also praised his wife Ann for the support she had shown him during their marriage. They said she always encouraged him to fly high.
