Radio presenter Mantsoe is living her childhood dream.
The 30-year-old Mantsoe Tsatsi, who grew up in Naledi in Soweto and later moved to Ekurhuleni, is living her lifelong dream of being a radio presenter.
Speaking to SunBuzz, she said: “My family is my biggest inspiration.
“I used to talk a lot as a kid, more than all my cousins. And my gogo would say Mantsoe is a radio.
“They would say I talk 24/7 like a radio.”
She said her family has been behind her since she started her career, especially her gogo.
“She’s strong, independent and passionate. I draw all my strength from her. She’s my biggest inspiration,” said Mantsoe.
The presenter has been doing radio for 11 years.
Mantsoe started on campus radio UJFM in 2008. She later joined YFM, and in 2016 she joined 947, formerly 94.7 Highveld Stereo.
“It’s been the most beautiful 11 years of my life. I wouldn’t do anything differently,” she said.
Mantsoe hosts a weekday show on 947 called The 947 Night Show from 7pm to 10pm. She said she has created a family that gathers every evening to forget about how tough their day was.
“We have fun and laugh together.”
Mantsoe also hosts the Coke Top 40 SA from 10am till 2pm on Saturdays.
She presents both shows with radio buddy Zweli Mbhele.
Mantsoe recently bagged a lifestyle TV show called @HasthtagsAfrica on e.tv Extra (channel 195).
She will co-host with Sophie Lichaba, Jarred Doyle and Francois Louw.
