“STOP killing me!”
This is the plea from another celebrity who is, according to social media, dead.
KZN-based L’vovo Derrango has had to prove he is, in fact, alive and kicking.
The famous kwaito star is said to have kicked the bucket in a car accident.
A Facebook post showing a wrecked car reads: “RIP, Lvovo.”
L’vovo, whose real name is Thokozani Ndlovu, said the post didn’t worry him much because he is still alive.
He asked fans to “stop killing him”.
“It hurts to see people killing stars on social media, despite our effort to bring them top-class entertainment,” he told the People’s Paper.
The singer said he didn’t know where the rumours came from, because the car in the picture wasn’t even similar to the one he drives.
“It’s sad because this is not the first time I’ve been killed.”
L’vovo said while he’s not happy about the incident, he saw it as a blessing in disguise.
“In Zulu we say when people keep killing you while you’re alive, it means you will have many more years to live,” he said.
“But seriously, people should stop playing with death.
“We’ve seen many stars die.
“This comes as a shock to our families.
“We’re human. We have families and children.”
Others celebrities who have also met their untimely demise on social media include award-winning hip hop artist Emtee, actress Terry Pheto and DJ Black Coffee, to name just a few.
L’vovo said he’s working on an album which will be released at the end of next month.
“The album is titled Ndlovu and is derived from my surname,” he told Daily Sun.
He said fans can expect his first single, Take It Away, at the end of February.
