Actress and new-comer to the entertainment industry, Luyanda Mzazi says she is not willing to disclose the identity of her very famous father.

Luyanda plays Lesedi on the SABC 1 soapie, Generations: The Legacy.

Luyanda is a fresh face to the limelight and she says she wants to make a name for herself without her father’s already existing fame getting in the way.

The actress shared all of this in a recent interview on DJ Sbu’s digital radio station, Massive Metro.

“He does a lot of things...he does everything, literally...he actually made me realize I can’t just be an actress," she said.

The 21-year-old actress says she got her role on Generations like any other unknown actress; she found an agency, signed up and went for auditions.

“It was my first audition out of school, I was nervous...I’ve never been on TV before. I flunked it, I went home and I was like I didn’t get it, don’t even worry, I didn’t get it,” Luyanda said.

Although this Luyanda’s first role in mainstream television, she has done a lot of theatre work.

Luyanda is originally from Johannesburg and is currently studying towards an HR qualification.
