Television and radio personality, Lerato Kganyago has dumped popular SABC 1 music show, Live Amp.

Lerato has allegedly left the show due to contractual disputes between her and the channel.

The rumour mill is claiming that LKG is in the running to host Project Runway South Africa which will soon air on Mzansi Magic, but SABC 1 is refusing to allow her.

What’s funny is that Bonang Matheba was once in a similar position as LKG when she wanted to host the Mzansi Magic choir reality show, Clash of the Choirs South Africa.

She then also left the channel and opted for the gig at Mzansi Magic.

At the time, Bonang was allegedly up for hosting the SABC 1 show, The Link, which was subsequently given to LKG.

Since joining the channel, LKG has hosted the The Link and over the past two years, Live Amp.

Her work on the music show earned her her very first award at this year’s South African Film and Television Awards.

She will appear for the last time on the show on the 18th of May 2018.
