Lady Zamar is excited to be part of the first Vivo Nation Festival line-up.

The two-day event will be held at The Container Yard in Joburg on 10 and 11 March.

The singer , whose real name is Yamikan Banda from Mamelodi in Tshwane, told SunBuzz: “I’m happy to be part of the festival. It’s not every day that people get opportunities like this one. I can’t wait to get on stage and perform new tracks from my debut album King Zamar.”

She said VW is the brand for the people and it’s an honour for her to be performing for the people.

Lady Zamar told SunBuzz that music lovers should expect fireworks at the festival.

“My album has 18 tracks but only three songs are popular.

“I have decided to add new songs.

“The choreography is different and the whole performance set-up is fresh and new, because I’m trying to expand my brand this year,” she said.

The My Baby hitmaker has worked on a documentary about her journey in music.

“The documentary will soon be out, but the date hasn’t been confirmed. It’s about my album, the process of making it, what inspired it and the challenges I faced while working on the album,” she said.

“I’d like to thank the people who helped me put the album together.”

Artists such as Babes Wodumo, Cassper Nyovest, Kwesta and Black Motion will perform at the festival.
