It’s a big week in the Imbewu: The Seed offices this week!
Not only is the e.tv soapie welcoming new cast members to their show, they’re also celebrating a major milestone for the relatively new show.
The show has officially crossed the 4 million viewer mark for the first time since they debuted in April this year.
This happened on Thursday, 06 December 2018, when the show was watched by almost 4.2 million South Africans.
This gives Imbewu an audience share percentage of 41.
This is good news for the channel who, at a recently media event hosted by the show’s stars Leleti Khumalo, Thembi Mtshali-Jones and Fundiswa Zwane, committed to achieving this goal.
Almost 4.2 million of you tuned in last week to witness the fallout that went down after KaMadonsela turned her family’s private affairs into public shame, with a dramatic reveal.
Imbewu: The Seed is produced by Anant Singh, Leleti Khumalo and Duma Ndlovu and is set in KwaZulu-Natal, giving rise to the region's television production industry.
“We have worked closely with the team at Grapevine Productions to ensure that we produce a brilliant show with compelling storylines. We thank the production team, the cast and the crew for delivering a great show and look forward to reaching greater milestones in the future,” said e.tv's Head of Local Productions, Ziyanda Mngomezulu.
Catch Imbewu: The Seed as the drama is set to continue throughout December when KaMadonsela seeks retribution for the big betrayal every Monday to Friday at 21:30 on e.tv (Openview channel 104 and DStv channel 194).
