In the middle of all the Valentine’s Day hype and with most people being caught up in the spirit of love, Uzalo’s Gugu Gumede revealed that she is her own Valentine.

The 25 year old who plays the extremely controversial MaMlambo on SABC 1’s Uzalo, is in contrast to her on screen character, “very guarded” and “extremely private” when it comes to her personal life, most of all, her relationship status.

Gugu shared in a post on Instagram that she has been single for three years now and that she is saving herself for a deserving man that God is preparing her for.

”I am single, and I have been single for 3 years. I decided to wait on God to lead me and prepare me to be the best wife to a deserving man someday” she captioned the post.

She admitted to sometimes feeling lonely especially when she comes across some couples on Instagram dishing up some relationship goals.

She also gave some advice to all the single ladies out there who might be feeling alone this Valentine’s Day.

“To whoever is alone - you're not alone. Don't allow peer pressure to stray you away from God's plan for your life” she wrote.
