DJ and music producer Culoe De Song is preparing to start a new trend in Mzansi.
He’s about to thrill music fans with a six-hour set on Saturday at And Club in Newtown, Joburg.
Speaking to SunBuzz, Culoe said he was inspired by some of the international DJs he met on his overseas travels.
“I love music so much that a two-hour set is not enough for me anymore. I want to share my soul with my fans and I think this six-hour set will achieve that.”
Culoe said being a DJ was about exchanging one’s energy with the people.
He believes this set will allow him to share and open his soul to music fans.
“And Club is a beautiful spot, plus the sound there is super nice.
“I will be looking for clubs or places that have what this club offers to host events of this kind.”
The DJ said he would be playing songs that he has produced and also of producers who have inspired him.
Since 2014, he has been releasing music through his own record label, De Song Music.
“I really do not want to sign any artists under my label but I am willing to work with other artists on their projects, just like my recent collaboration with international music label Watergate Records,” he said.
Culoe’s latest single, Rambo, has been getting a lot of attention since it was released two weeks ago.
“I know music fans did not expect something like this from me but Rambo really shows my love of video games, electronic dance music and dancehall.”
Tickets are R100 before 9pm and R150 thereafter.
