Auditions for the Lebo Mathosa role

It was a day in which dreams could be made and broken.

From across the land, actresses, dancers and artists made their way to Marshalltown, Joburg today to audition for the role of Lebo Mathosa.

Earlier this week, Black Entertainment Television (BET) Africa announced “The Lebo Mathosa” biopic.

It will be a mini-series detailing the rise of Lebo Mathosa.

Even celebrities’ daughters were there to try their luck.

Most notable were Arthur Mafokate’s daughter Owami and Somizi Mhlongo’s daughter, Bahumi Madisakwane.

Bahumi said that she always looked up to Lebo Mathosa.

“I know that she has made an enormous difference in the entertainment industry,” she said.

Arthur Mafokate said that he brought his daughter here so that they could learn the ins and outs of the industry.

“Bringing them to auditions like this attracts the history that we have, so that they understand and learn to appreciate who they are through culture,” he said.
