Mzansi Superstar rapper Cassper Nyovest is preparing to share a stage with Beyonce and Jay Z among other internationally renowned artists later this year.
This is after he was announced as part of the world class line up set to wow fans at the Global Citizen Festival that will take place at the FNB Stadium on the 2nd of December in celebration of Nelson Mandela's 100th anniversary.
After bringing FC Barcelona to Mzansi shores in May, billionaire Patrice Motsepe is, this time in partnership with Global Citizen, bringing some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.
"I had been getting personal messages from people requesting that I bring certain individuals to South Africa" he said at the press conference.
Cassper will be holding it down at the festival with compatriot Sho Madjozi and fellow Africans Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, D'banj and Femi Kuti.
He recently shared pictures on social media of himself chilling with Chris Martin from British rock band Coldplay who came to visit him at his house.
Martin is the Festival's music curator and will also be part of the star studded line up.
“By the way, Chris Martin from ColdPlay came to see me at my house the other day,” Casper said on Instagram.
“He told me he loved the song ‘Malome’ and would like to perform it with me 1 day.
“He’s so passionate about helping and changing the world, amazing human being. Hopefully we’ll get to make some music.”
The K'sazobalit hit-maker has been having a good year so far and it promises to get better.
He was featured on the World Cup theme song Colors with Jason Derulo and he also cracked the Forbes Africa under 30 list of the continent’s most promising young change makers.
