Tsonga traditional music icon Benny “President” Mayengani said people should look out for his upcoming album.

He is set to release his album, titled Mali Nikhulumele, next month.

The 39-year-old told SunBuzz: “People are going to be very surprised by this project.

“It’s a festive season album that talks about bonuses, salaries and the summer vibe.”

He said he worked on the album for a week.

“Everything was already planned.”

Benny is certain the album will do well.

“My fans are always waiting for more of my music.

“My music appeals to everyone and I’m very influential, so I have no doubts the album is going to sell.

Benny is studying municipal governance at the University of Joburg.

“I’m writing exams and preparing for my December gigs.”

After successfully filling up Giyani Stadium with 20 000 fans in September, Benny said he was ready to fill up Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

“We’re going to make history. It will be packed to capacity.

“Many of my supporters will be there.”

He said his goal was to reach a global audience.

“I want my music to be known across the world, and not just Mzansi.”
