ALTHOUGH Mampintsha and Babes Wodumo are currently not seeing eye to eye, Babes went to Mampintsha’s event and gave a stunning performance.

The event, We Love West Ink, aimed to encourage Mampintsha to believe that after all the negative publicity he has received recently, life goes on.

It was held at Artizen Restaurant and Lounge in KwaMashu, KZN, on Friday.

Before the show, organiser Philani Ngwenya told SunBuzz they had invited two artists to surprise the crowd.

When Babes arrived at the venue, flanked by bodyguards, people in the crowd couldn’t believe their eyes.

Some told SunBuzz they didn’t expect Babes to support an event which was meant to comfort and encourage her ex- fiance.

After she came in, she stood just inches away from Mampintsha and his crew.

They didn’t speak to each other and when the SunTeam tried to speak to Babes, her bodyguards refused to allow it, saying she would only be available for interviews after her performance.

Babes went on stage, performed some of her hits and immediately left the venue.

The other surprise act was Afrotainment boss DJ Tira, who performed after Mampintsha.

Like Babes, Tira left immediately after his performance.

Other artists that kept the crowd on their feet included DJ Merlon, Bullistic and Zakwe.

Ngwenya said all the artists were booked by Mampintsha and himself.
