Rap superstar, AKA is fuming after a very bizarre thing happened on his YouTube channel yesterday.
Several of the Supa Mega’s music videos were deleted and then re-uploaded, wiping out millions of views from his channel.
The deleting and then re-uploading of his videos not only led to his channel losing a huge amount of views, but it could also cost him a lot of money.
YouTube views, similar to Instagram/Twitter likes and follows are very often used in the negotiation of deals such ambassadorships.
The rapper, who is due to release his alleged final album next month, has shared his frustration over the situation.
“The Recording Industry is EXACTLY like modern day slavery,” he began.
“Go look at my YouTube views and ask yourself why millions (and I mean tens of millions worth of views) ... Have been wiped out, taken down, then reloaded,” he continued.
A few media speculations have seen AKA’s previous record and management label, Vth Season’s name being thrown around in the saga.
AKA himself alluded to their involvement as the label that launched him into super stardom.
“If you made AKA. Why can’t you make another one? Strange things happening. All you have to do is look closely,” he said.
But, the rapper is keeping it moving and focusing on the release of Touch My Blood.
“One thing nobody can take from me is my fan base and following. The Megacy, Come the 15th of JUNE I know you got my back. ... nobody can stop us,” he said.
