THERE’S trouble in paradise for one of the Zumas!

President Jacob Zuma’s daughter is a glowing bride no more.

Hardly five years into the marriage which made headlines, Dudu Zuma and her businessman hubby, Lonwabo Sambudla, have allegedly separated.

But sources said there’s no bad blood.

“Their separation was amicable. At this stage, Lonwabo has moved out of their matrimonial home and Dudu is left alone, with some members of the family supporting her. It seems they’re heading for divorce proceedings,” claimed a source.

Another source claimed:

“Things are no longer what they used to be. You won’t see them in public again but let’s hope one day they find each other.

“Dudu thinks Lonwabo is no longer the person she married. The Zuma family wanted to control him and he had to get rid of his friends. She’s been complaining about his behaviour and even went as far as informing her family and Lonwabo’s family about the treatment she gets from him.”

A friend of Lonwabo’s said: “It’s difficult at this stage because their wedding was public and she’s Zuma’s daughter. They can’t hide their separation or impending divorce. I knew the media would pick it up, but I wasn’t going to be the one who informed them.”

Dudu and Lonwabo got married in a much-hyped wedding in 2011. Elephants roamed in the background as the couple exchanged vows.

Guests at the wedding included businessman Vivian Reddy with his wife, ANC spokesman Zizi Kodwa, Chief Mandla Mandela, socialite Khanyi Mbau, former Miss SA, Tansey Coetzee, comedian David Kau, Somizi Mhlongo and ramp models Miriam Ngomani and Mpumi Gwinya.

Yesterday Lonwabo refused to comment.

Dudu was not available for comment. The number provided to Sunday Sun rang unanswered. Messages left on her phone were not returned at the time of going to print.
