P ANTSULA for life Kabelo Mabalane has  been under the music radar lately.

But on Friday he emerged with his ninth solo album, giving fans what they have been yearning for.

The kwaito star has transformed his music with interesting sounds.

Immortal Vol 3 is a follow-up to his last album, Immortal Vol 2, which he last released in 2012.

He said the title of the album is a declaration that he’s going to be around for a long time.

“It is also based on my faith as a Christian. I believe when you receive Jesus you never die,” he added.

On the album he has worked with the likes of Black Motion, Rhythmic Elements and Danny K.

Speaking to SunBuzz about his latest offering, Kabelo said: “The decision to have other artists on the album was not a deliberate thought. It happened organically, which is the way I like things to happen in the creative process. Working with these talents was a fantastic experience, because they are all genius personified.”

He said the sound of his album is different from what his fans have come to expect.

“When any company or product goes a different direction from what their consumers are used to, there are always nerves. However I fully believe in this new direction I’ve taken.”

Kabelo, who has given us hits like Pantsula For Life, Zonke and Matimba, kicked off his career with one of the hottest music trio in Mzansi, TKZee in 1997.

“It’s an honour and a blessing to have been in the industry for 19 years, with 16 projects, including TKZee, under my belt. I’m determined to leave a legacy on persistence and success,” he said.

Bouga Luv, as he is affectionately known is also an actor on The Road on Mzansi Magic.

“Acting has been both challenging and too much fun. Challenging from a perspective of being out of my comfort zone but because I’m a creative I’m able to navigate my way around the set with the help of a great production team,” he said.

He said juggling music, acting and his family has been easy because he follows his father’s wise words. He said his father used to say: “There is no such thing as you don’t have time. You make time.”
