EFF LEADER Floyd Shivambu might be a heartbroken man!

Sunday Sun has learnt that he and gorgeous SABC newsreader, Thabile Ngwato, have parted ways.

A source close to the couple said Thabile chose her career over their affair.

“Floyd wanted their relationship to be public. But Thabile’s argument was that she’s a journalist – and is building her career. She doesn’t want to be seen in public with a politician, as she needs to take an objective stance,” said the source.

The pair hooked up earlier this year and hinted their partnership on social media. Sunday Sun reported on the affair and everything seemed okay – until recently.

Another source said the last straw was when the two went head-to-head in a shouting match on Thabile’s birthday.

“We don’t understand what really happened. People don’t break up because they don’t love each other,” said the source.

Thabile quit YFM to join the SABC.

Floyd is the EFF’s top brass.

On Friday Thabile said: “There was never a relationship to begin with. Please, stop asking me about Floyd.”

Floyd said: “I don’t discuss my private life in newspapers. You’re writing the story. You should know. I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
