GORGEOUS actress Nokuthula Ledwaba is said to be heartbroken after the sudden loss of her mum, Grace Vilakazi-Ledwaba.
Nokuthula, who currently plays Dumile on Umlilo, is popular for her previous role as Tshidi in e.tv’s Rhythm City.
The late Grace was laid to rest on Friday in Soshanguve, Pretoria.
A source told Sunday Sun: “Nokuthula really loved her parents and was close to her mum, even though Grace was not her biological mum.
“She was raised and cared for by the family and she’s one of them.”
Sources said the cause of Grace’s death has not been made public, but she was old.
“We can never get used to death, especially if that person was a parent.
“I just hope Nokuthula is able to let herself go through the grieving stage so that Grace’s passing doesn’t come back to haunt her later in life,” the source added.
The actress is a mum to two-year-old Lewatle and the identity of her baby daddy is still unknown.
She previously said she left Rhythm City because she wanted to be there for her child, and not have to endure the hectic shooting schedule of a soapie and only get back home when her daughter is asleep.
Dumile is one of the few celebs who manage to keep their private and work life separate, as she is mostly known for her work, not her relationships.
Nokuthula took to social media to express her grief of losing her mum during the week.
But yesterday she couldn’t be reached for comment.
