HE’S the shortest DJ in Mzansi – the only DJ in Mzansi who stands on crates and pillows when he’s about to play his set.

And he goes by the stage name of “DJ Finzo”.

Apart from being a club DJ,Finzo, real name Phinel Sefatsa, is a budding music compiler andpresenter on Lesedi FM.

Finzo’s been trying to secure a record deal with a number of record labels in Mzansi, but he couldn’t get any, despite his popularity.

But the pint-sized entertainer has finally seen some light at the end of the tunnel.

Finzo has played in various gigs with the likes of DJ Fresh, Oskido, Mahoota and Black Coffee and he made sure he left his mark.

Now he’s working with Back Bone Productions, a company owned by the talented producer-cum-DJ, DJ What What and Down to EarthProductions.

His single, titled Wa Balata, on which he features Lesedi FM’s heavyweight, Thuso Motaung, is enjoying massive airplay on national radio stations.

Finzo will be releasing his debut album, Sweet and Short, early this year. His fans have been waitingpatiently for him to release analbum.

He said he’s excited that finally his music will get into the hands of house music lovers.

“I’ve worked hard to get this far and now’s the time to make sure my fans own my music.

“It’s been a hectic journey for me to get here and you must understand that patience bears success. I’m really excited that this project is being taken to greater heights by the person I respect in a big way – DJ What What,” he said.

He added his colleagues atLesedi FM have been very supportive of his dream. Finzo has played in New York and Miami.
