Fans of Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter Chris Brown had to wait for almost three years to see him grace Mzansi shores once again.
Breezy, as he is widely known by his fans, was last here in 2012 for his Carpe Diem SA tour.
Brown’s SA fans are certainly going crazy since the announcement of his X Tour Live yesterday.
The Chris Brown X Tour Live in SA concert is brought to Mzansi fans by Glen21 Entertainment, Jalibird and Vertex Events in association with Channel O.
South African promoters Glen Netshipise, Sobukwe Jali and Thato Segaole said they were thrilled to bring back one of the biggest names in the music industry.
The tour will see him perform at the Coca-Cola Dome in Joburg on Thursday, 2 April and end with a second concert at the Moses Mabhida People’s Park, Durban on Saturday, 4 April.
Brown worked with the best and hottest artists in R&B, hip hop and pop, such as Usher, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and Tyga on his latest album, X.
His single Loyal which features rappers Lil Wayne and Tyga sold over one million copies.
It also claimed the number one spot on Mainstream R&B/hip hop chart for nine weeks, eight weeks at the top of the R&B/hip-hop airplay chart and two weeks at number one on the rhythmic chart.
Brown’s latest single New Flame, featuring Usher and Rick Ross, is already in the Top 20 on both Urban and Rhythm radio.

The Moses Mabhida Stadium People’s Park tickets start at R690 and golden circle costs R1 100.
