DESPERATE times call for desperate measures indeed.

It seems failed goalkeeper “DJ Cleo”, real name Tlou Cleopas Monyepao, and struggling kwaito artist Brickz need each other to get back in the game.

“Brickz”, real name Sipho Ndlovu, made headlines a few years ago when he called Cleo gay.

Now Brickz allegedly wants Cleo to take him back under his wing as he believes his career will get a boost with Cleo’s help.

Sunday Sun has learnt Cleo wants Brickz to apologise to him through the media before he can take him back.

Cleo and Brickz were a powerhouse in their time, when Brickz managed to release two successful kwaito albums under Cleo’s record label.

A source close to the pair claimed when the two bumped into each other at L’vovo Derrango’s music video shoot, it was a blessing for Brickz.

“As DJ Cleo took a break from the shoot, Brickz approached him and asked how things were at Will of Steel Productions. Then the remorseful Brickz asked Cleo to take him back.

“Cleo looked at Brickz like he was sympathising with him. It was like a streetkid asking for money. Cleo told him that he (Brickz) knows what he has to do to get back under his wing.”

Sunday Sun has learnt Cleo wants to meet up with DJ Oskido to discuss Brickz’s contract with Kalawa Jazmee in order to take him back.

The SunTeam contacted Brickz, who said: “I don’t want to comment on this issue at the moment. I’ll do so when the time is right, please understand.”

Cleo’s phone rang unanswered this week and he didn’t return our SMSes.
