A terrific taxi crash has left nine people dead.
This is after a driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a concrete barricade
The JMPD spokesman, chief superintendent, Wyne Minnaar said this fatal accident happened at approximately 1.10pm.
“The driver collided with a concrete barricade on N1 south Buccleugh Interchange.
One body was flung onto opposite side of N1 north,” said Minnaar.
“There was an obstruction on both sides of the Freeway.
Motorists were requested to look out for accident scene,” he added.
Minnaar said the taxi driver was transporting passengers from Ivory Park to Johannesburg when the accident occurred.
UPDATE: The SunTeam has received news that a tenth person has died in hospital.
