comments by the Democratic Alliance’s Federal Executive Chair James Selfe
saying that he could not guarantee that Mmusi Maimane will come back as leader
of the DA after the elections.
The DA's Athol Trollip says that Mmusi was elected as leader of the party until its next congress.

"He led an impressive campaign. He has my support and he has the support of the party going forward into the next elections," Trollip said.
Maimane said that he was proud of the fact that they stuck to their guns.
"We are proud of the vision we are standing for. Exactly four years ago I was elected as leader of the DA. I am proud of the mission we embarked on. It was a vision to build a one South Africa for all," Maimane said.
