Mthatha Afro soul trio 047 is making waves in the entertainment space and we are here for it. 

The boy band which consists of Ngcali Nundu, Lihle Baleni and Sihle Mdaka, which was discovered by singer Vusi Nova 2 years ago.

Their name is dedicated to their home town of Mthatha and its safe to say they will make Mthatha proud.

047 will be making their debut at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown. 

The trio skyrocketed to the top of the music charts with their debut album titled Wen’Ungowam under the guidance of their mentor Vusi Nova last year.

047 was recently nominated for best newcomer of the year at the SAFMA nomination event last month and are hopeful that they walk away with the nod.

047 is set to depart Johannesburg at the end of June as they take to the N1 and explore the wonders that South Africa has to offer. Stopping at significant tourist attractions as they make their way to the Eastern Cape.

The trio originally from Mthatha are excited to return home and see the embrace their hometown will offer them.
