COVID is real!
This is the message from Suzan Marope (40) from Ikageng, Moaenthal, who tested positive for Covid-19 on 1 July this year.
“I was infected at work. I work at a funeral parlour where I help clients with funeral arrangements for their loved ones.
“At first I experienced a loss of appetite, lack of smell and taste, major headaches and body pains,” she told Daily Sun.
“I used a mix of eucalyptus leaves, garlic, ginger, lengana and eucalyptus oil. I steamed with it and I drank it.
“I took painkillers and cough syrup because I was coughing very badly. I used Vicks to rub my body, and vitamin C tablets. I drank lots of hot water.”
She said two days into her recovery she was very weak.
“I developed blood clots on my legs. It was very painful and I struggled to walk. I felt tired all the time,” she said.
“My children kept me strong. I felt I needed to fight the virus because of them.”
She said her family and her colleagues supported her very much.
“They are the ones who bought me some of the medication and prayed for me,” she told the People’s Paper.
“It was very hard to interact with people. I was even afraid to walk on the street or take a taxi. I am now afraid to go to gatherings.”
She encouraged people to follow the regulations.
“It will save your life and the lives of the people around you,” said Suzan.
