NOT SO long ago, they were seen fighting and they laid assault charges against each other!

But lately they’ve been seen together and their court cases seem all but over.

Babes Wodumo told Daily Sun yesterday that she wants the case she opened against Mandla Maphumulo (Mampintsha) to be over but she wouldn’t comment on their future together.

“I’m tired of going to court! The court cases are dragging,” she said when she got to the Pinetown Magistrates Court in KwaZulu-Natal.

But the Wololo hitmaker refused to say whether she had withdrawn her case.

She was at the Durban Magistrates Court to appear in the assault case opened by Nelisiwe Zondi against her, her sister Nondumiso and Tipcee.

“I’m tired and that girl refuses to withdraw her case,” said Babes.

The case was postponed to 30 June.

Mampintsha arrived at the Pinetown court early but waited for Babes to get there.

Speaking to Daily Sun before court, he said they were waiting for Babes to finish in Durban and then come to Pinetown.

In court, with her lawyer and Nondumiso, Babes sat a short distance away from Mampintsha.

The kwaito singer went to the dock first, followed by Babes. He looked relaxed while Babes looked a bit uncomfortable.

Prosecutor Ndoda January told the court the two had come to an agreement to seek the services of the Family and Marriage Society of South Africa.

“They have asked for Famsa’s help. I ask the court to be adjourned for the Famsa report,” said January.

The magistrate postponed the case to 11 June.

After court Mampintsha asked journalists to speak to his lawyer Pat Magwaza for details. He said he was afraid he might say things he was not allowed to say.

But Magwaza refused to answer questions.

“Let us wait for Famsa,” he said.

Magwaza said he didn’t know if Mampintsha and Babes would attend the Famsa sessions together.

Babes father, Bishop Welcome Simelane, was called for comment but he said he did not want to comment on something that was in court.
