Young producers R Man and Khuke De MusiQ are hoping to make it big in the music industry.

The up-and-coming musicians, whose real names are Rhandzu “R Man” Mathe (15) and Amukelani “Khuke De MusiQ “ Makhubele (14), are hoping to become Mzansi’s next success story.

R Man and Khuke, who hail from Alexandra in Joburg, spoke to SunBuzz about their music journey and how it all started.

Khuke said he was the one who fell in love with music first.

“My cousin is a producer and I liked how he was making music, so I asked him to teach me.

“He did and once I had learnt a few skills, I brought R Man in so he could also learn.

“We continued learning together and later decided to work together. Eventually, we started releasing music in 2019,” he said.

R Man said he’s glad that Khuke approached him with the idea to do music.

“Music is a big part of kasi life and when Khuke suggested that we do it, I was happy and went with the idea immediately,” he said.

The teenagers are currently working on releasing their debut single.

“At the moment, we are obviously still not perfect.

But, we’re working on our mistakes and fixing them.

“We’ll be dropping our first single before December.

“The title of the song is Tribute to RR, which is short for Rabie Ridge – a township in Joburg.

“That is where we learnt about music, and has become a special place to us. So, we decided to pay tribute to it,” said Khuke.

The youngsters said they’re hoping to make it internationally with their music.

Khuke said: “I hope to become successful, so I can take care of my family and buy property.”

R Man added: “I also want to do something big for my parents.

“I also hope we will go big and travel all over the world, making people happy with our music.”
