The late actor and executive producer, Shona Ferguson (47) who died last week due to Covid complications will be laid to rest today.
His passing was announced by his family via statement that left South Africans heartbroken.
“It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of Mr. Shona Ferguson. He passed away at noon today (Friday 30 July 2021). Mr. Ferguson’s untimely passing was due to Covid-19 related complications, and not a heart operation as reported in the media. We ask that you give the family time to process this painful loss, and respect their space during this time,” read the statement by the family.
His family also released a statement on Tuesday, 3 August, announcing that there would be a memorial service as well, but will be announced at a later stage.
“Details of a memorial service will be communicated at a later stage once all the necessary arrangements have been finalized,” they said.
