After trending on twitter for not giving his performance, Samthing Soweto recorded a video to apologise to his music lovers.

Between his voice and the moving around, it seemed like he wasn't sure of how to pull a performance. Performing at the Mzansi the biggest music show for the first time Samthing Soweto gave his music lovers a lukewarm performance.

He was performing two of his hits Amantombazane and Akulaleki that he did with Amapiano heavyweights Kabza Da Small and Maphorisa.

Real name Samkelo Mdoloba who is used to perform mostly sitting down or alone owned up to his mistake and on the video he posted on twitter he admits that Idols' performance has to one of the hardest performances for him. He got the same reaction in 2017 when he performed Akanamali.

He said on the video: "I am sorry because I see I have ruined a lot of people's day. I am really sorry I do not have an excuse it is just one of those days. Hopefully I would have an opportunity to redeem myself. Idol has always been one of those platforms that are hard for me. In 2017, I went to perform Akanamali and it wasn't the one, I wasn't happy. I mean with the whole situation I tried. There is so many moving parts there, you when you do a show alone, there is only the sound, guitar, the band and the DJ so on Idols there is a lot of movement you feel like a cow in front of a car."

Samthing Soweto ended the video with apologising and letting his fans that he hears them.
