DRAMA series Umkhokha is coming to an end and viewers are already crying for season 2.
This series that started in October with a bang and it is surely ending on an high note.
When it started, members of the Shembe church criticised it. They thought it was based on their infighting and leadership battles.
But their leader, Inkosi Mduduzi Shembe reprimanded them and also apologised to the show producers.
On Sunday, 26 December, Mzansi Magic will air the last episode of Umkhokha season 1.
Producer of Umkhokha, Mandla KaNoZulu announced the news on his Facebook page.

He wrote: “Thanks Mzansi for watching. Let’s do this again on 26 December for the final episode. We are truly humbled by your continued support, kwande.”
The announcement shocked the followers of the show.
They took turns calling for a season 2.
Playwright Duma Ndlovu also commended the series and wrote: ‘Twitter is calling it the best story on television right now. Big up to Mandla KaNoZulu and the Rhythm World team for a captivating African story. Sadly, next Sunday is the last episode and hopefully we will see the likes of Umkhokha on our screens soon. I smell season 2 of the Mamzobe brigade.”
Thokozile Malambule wrote: “Next Sunday is the last episode. Will there be a season 2 kodwa?”
KZN Legislature member Bishop Vusi Dube also commended Mandla and said: “We definitely want more, surely you have started to pen something.”
