ACTOR Tumisho Masha has tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Chantel Wanger in a beautiful traditional wedding ceremony over the weekend.

Speaking to Daily Sun, the talented actor who’s best known for his role as Jackson on the canned Isibaya, said they’ve been planning the ceremony since last year but had to put it on hold due to the pandemic.

“The ceremony was everything that I had imagined it to be. I am glad we went ahead and hosted it despite the fact that we could not invite everyone like we would have loved to,” he said.

The actor said he has been with Chantel for years.

“We’ve been together for years and going on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage was fantastic, but nerve wrecking at the same time because she could have said no. But luckily for me, she said yes,” he said.

“I was very relieved when she agreed because from the onset, I knew she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. When we met, I was in a very low place in my life and I was going through a nasty divorce. She stood by me despite what the media and people were saying about me and told me it’s not the reflection of who I am. It was a big deal for me.”

Tumisho told the People’s Paper he has fully paid lobolo for Chantel and the white wedding will follow soon.

The talented actor, who is tying the knot for the third time, said his last marriage ended in a nasty divorce and a court battle, but said he wouldn’t let the past hold him back from living his life. I’m not afraid of commitment and I’m not the kind of person who will let the past scare me from being in love again. Sometimes some of the things that are negative are the things that will make the next relationship better and stronger,” he said.

Tumisho said he just finished shooting a film.

“Things are back on track, I have just finished a film called the Domestic, which I produced and starred in. I can’t wait to give the people of Mzansi more great content soon,” he said.
