THE music journey of singer and songwriter Sne Malungelo has been a success in a short space of time.

The engineer and businessman by profession gave music, which is his first love, a try this year and he has now worked with Mzansi’s top musicians, with his music being on high rotation.

The soulful gospel singer from Sodwana Bay in KZN told SunBuzz: “This year has been a great one for me. I’ve been on nine top 20 charts on radio stations like Motsweding FM, Kaya 959, Munghana Lonene and a lot more. I already have eight music videos out and they are doing really well. Two are number one on Channel O and Trace Africa,” Sne said.

“It feels amazing that my work is doing so well. And through everything that’s happening right now, I refer back to the first official single I released, titled Faithful God. He is faithful and He has shown it throughout my career.”

Sne said all his wouldn’t be possible if he hadn’t listened to his friends who pushed him.

“For years, I’ve been producing music for different musicians, but I never thought of getting into singing. The people I produced for would convince me to sing because they could see potential in me.

“So I decided to finally do it this year and it’s been great so far. I also appreciate people like DJ Cleo and Vukani who were pushing me to get into music,” he said.

Sne dropped his first album titled Circle Groove Volume 1 last month.

“The album features the likes of Mapara A Jazz, Vukani, DJ Tira, Ray T, Soulful G, TNS, Bizizi, Kaygee, Ntando, Qwabe Twins, Joocy and DJ Obza.

“I’ve been working with some of the leading musicians in the country and I enjoyed it,” he said.

“More music videos from the album are coming and people should expect to see more of Malungelo on their screens.

“ The next album, Circle Groove Volume 2 will be out next July,” said Sne.
