Sizwe said he was excited to join Warner Music.
“I’ve been looking for the best deal for me and my legacy for the past five years. After all I’ve done independently, I needed to work with a company that could do more for me than I could for myself. Warner has committed to growing both the Reason and Sizwe Alakine brands in ways that no one else could, and I’m excited for the great music and creative we have lined up,” he said.
The award-winning rapper changed his name from Reason to Sizwe Alakine when he joined the amapiano scene.
He started as a hip-hop artist and continued for more than 10 years. Then he shocked his fans and the rest of Mzansi when he hopped onto amapiano.
