THE days of being single for abazalwane will soon be over.
This is according to Apostle Makhado Ramabulana, who is planning to launch a dating site for Christians.
Ramabulana said a lot of people fell into the trap of looking for partners in the wrong places and his site, which will be called Apostle Mpatlele Mosadi/Monna, would put applicants through a vetting process before they could sign up.
He said many single men and women found themselves falling victim to scammers on dodgy dating sites.
“It is getting harder by the day as many of our sisters and brothers are only interested in material things. Men are looking for curvaceous women while women are looking for men with deep pockets.

“This site will restore the real purpose of marriage. As a pastor, I have counselled men who have become victims of online dating scams where women got a lot of money out of them in the name of love.”
Ramabulana said many single Christian men looked for women at church but the lockdown had made this impossible.
“We owe it to our people to come up with long-term solutions like online dating sites and apps that encourage marriage and not fornication,” he said.
Ramabulana said there would also be retreats for singles to meet and greet.
“We will have in-house marriage counsellors for those who need it, life coaches, financial advisors, wedding planners and image consultants,” he said.
When asked what inspired him to start the site, he said: “As a young entrepreneur and a pastor, I always strive to identify the needs in our communities and come up with innovative ideas that will make a positive contribution to our society.”
