DESPITE Owen Ndlovu’s legal threats, Ukhozi FM has announced its year end Top 10 to be voted for by listeners.
Making the announcement on Sigiya Ngengoma on Saturday, Ukhozi FM acting station manager Sbongi Ngcobo reassured listeners that they will not be stopped from playing the Song of the Year this year.
Last year, the station was interdicted by Owen of Michael Owen Productions from announcing and playing the Song of the Year and the Top 10.

Owen said he will send the station court papers to interdict them this week.
He told Daily Sun he will only back off if Ukhozi nominated their Top 10, according to the top song charts and leave his voting concept alone.
“Ukhozi is exploiting its listeners. It has a Top 20 played every Saturday and nobody votes for it.
“For the past years it has been using this system on its year-end Top 10 until my concept in 2016,” said Owen.
“The station can’t continue with my concept without me. It wants to rob listeners of their money.
“I warn listeners to not vote and waste their money because the Top 10 will not be played. I also warn artists to not campaign.”
He said this year’s fight will be bigger as he wanted to teach the stubborn Ukhozi management a tough lesson.
SABC spokeswoman Mmoni Seapolelo told Daily Sun the contract for the Summer Song of the Year campaign that the SABC had with Michael Owen Productions was not renewed when it lapsed in 2018.
“The rights and title they had in the Summer Song were sold and bought, which left them without any rights to sue,” she said.
Ukhozi FM Top 10 are as follows: Kelly Khumalo-Empini (A), Azana-Your Love (B), DJ Hlo-Festive (C), Big Zulu ft Ricky Rick and Intaba Yase Dubai-Mali Eningi (D), Mapara A Jazz ft Ntosh Gazi and Colano-John Vuli Gate (E), Indlabeyiphika-Amageja (F), Soa Mattrix ft Shaun 101 and Souful 6-Uthando (G), Khuzani ft Luve Dubazane-Ijele (H), Nomcebo Zikode ft Master KG-Xola Moya Wami (I) and MFR Souls ft Major League DJZ, Kamo Mphela and Bontle Smith-Amanikiniki (J).
Listeners can vote for their favourite song by SMSing the word Ingoma, followed by the letter next to the song to 33665.
