MEDIA personality and humanitarian Nomzamo Mbatha has been announced as the host for this year’s Miss South Africa.
The pageant made an announcement through their Twitter page yesterday with a little over two weeks to go to the final competition.
“DRUM ROLL!!!!! Leading actress, media personality and humanitarian @NomzamoMbatha will be the official host of this year’s dazzling #MissSA2020 pageant. She carries a powerful message that has not only resonated with South Africans but the continent as a whole,” they wrote.
The actress is taking over from Bonang Matheba, who hosted the pageant for the past two years.
The top 10, Thato Mosehle, Melissa Nayimuli, Karishma Ramdev, Lebogang Mahlangu, Natasha Joubert, Busisiwe Mmotla, Aphelele Mbiyo, Chantelle Pretorius, Jordan van der Vyver and Shudufhadzo Musida will be competing for the title on 24 October in Cape Town.
"This year the Miss South Africa 2020 production will be totally different in its execution due to the fact of Covid-19. The dynamics of the show have changed radically – it’s a new look show hence our decision to change it up even more with a new presenter. Bonang was a brilliant host and we are delighted with her continuing strong relationship with the Miss South Africa Organisation. Her House of BNG MCC is the official Miss South Africa celebration sponsor," they said.They said Nomzamo aligns with their brand.

Miss SA 2020 will take home a package of prizes and sponsorships worth R3 million.
It will be broadcast on Mzansi Magic, M-Net and can be live streamed on their website.
