HIP HOP king Cassper Nyovest has a new album out.
He released it last night at Max’s lifestyle in Durban and started selling on digital platforms at midnight.
The 21-track album titled AMN (Any Minute Now) features different artists including Samthing Soweto and Bonginkosi “Zola” Dlamini and also has a remix of the late Vuyo Mokoena’s gospel hit Hlengiwe.
It’s his fifth album since he first hit the music scene in 2014 with his album Refiloe.
Cassper told Daily Sun he decided to work with other artists on this album, his best so far.
He said he’s also remixed other artists’ songs he grew up listening to, including Brenda Fassie’s Weekend Special and TKZee’s Ses’fikile.
He also has some ballads on the album which his mother loved, as well as a track he recorded with his late home boy HHP.
Cassper said it was no accident that he chose KZN for launching his album. He said not only do the people in the province buy his music a lot and are tops in terms of bookings, but he’s chosen to marry a Durban girl.
He said it was a blessing that the launch was coinciding with the birth of his first-born.
Him and fiancee Thobeka Majozi are expecting their little boy arrive to today after he threw a lavish babyshower for her in Durban last month.
