RAPPER Nasty C has once again made Mzansi proud by receiving a second BET Award nomination.

He is up for Best International Flow Award for the BET Hip Hop Awards.

Together with Nigerian rapper Ladipoe, they are the only Africans in the category, and up against Xamã from Brazil, Laylow and Gazo, both from France, as well as United Kingdom’s Little Simz and Dave.

The first time Nasty C was nominated for a BET was in 2017, for Best International Act: Africa under the BET Awards.

Some of the hip-hop nominees for this year include Blxst, Coi Leray, Don Toliver, Morray, Pooh Shiesty as well as Yung Bleu for Best New Hip Hop Artist.


Nominated for Lyricist of the Year are Benny the Butcher, Drake, J Cole, Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion and Nas.

Then Cardi B, Drake, Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie and Yung Bleu are up for Hustler of the Year.

The Hip Hop Album of the Year nominees are Moneybagg Yo for A Gangsta’s Pain, Tyler The Creator for Call Me If You Get Lost, Migos for Culture III, Megan Thee Stallion for Good News, DJ Khaled for Khaled Khaled, 21 Savage & Metro Boomin for Savage Mode II and J Cole for The Off-Season.

The awards will be held on 5 October.
