MZANSI celebs spent time with American comedian and TV host Steve Harvey and his wife, Marjorie, over the past weekend.
The couple had a private welcome dinner and some South African celebs were invited.
Lasizwe, Amanda DuPont, Norma Mngoma, Gugu Khathi and Lebo Gunguluza went to the dinner and posted pictures of them and the Harveys.
Steve has been in South Africa frequently in the past year filming his e.tv game show, Family Feud, and investment company, Beryl Group hosted a welcome dinner for him and his wife.
YouTuber and reality TV star Lasizwe posted a picture with the Harveys and said Steve reminds him of his late father.
“I got a call from my parents. They wanted to see their problematic son. @iamsteveharveytv @marjorie_harvey #TheHarveys. Steve Harvey reminds me of my father… He would give the same look when I started going a bit gay,” he wrote.
Norma Mngoma wrote: “Last weekend was lit with @iamsteveharveytv and thank you @neverlkam for always bringing an A-game on the table, work hard and play hard. Looking forward to the new week.”
Skeem Saam actress Amanda DuPont thanked the couple for sharing their journey with them.
“The Harveys’ Private Dinner. Such a pleasure meeting you. Thank you for sharing your inspirational journey with us and reminding us that the true magic lies right here in Africa. Thank you to my Beryl Group fam for the love and countless opportunities in spaces destined for elevation,” she wrote.
She also posted another picture with Marjorie and captioned it: “My mandate was to welcome you and make sure you feel the love! I didn’t expect you to do the very same for me! You are such a gem and inspirational woman. I appreciate all your kind words and encouragement, you made me ‘ugly cry’ even. You are everything goals. It was such a pleasure to share a moment with you.”
Gugu Khathi wrote: “Gugu Khathi Radical Transformation is no child’s play. Transforming entrepreneurs especially in Africa, it’s a job we all need to take on tonight. We welcome the Global Citizens @iamsteveharveytv and @marjorie_harvey as they journey with us towards impact of generations to come.”
